FAQ

Is airbrush tanning like Mystic Tan?

This is not a booth spray tan. There is no odor, no streaks! I apply the tan with a high volume, low pressure machine that puts out a fine mist of the solution. This ensures a beautiful even looking tan.

How long will my tan last?

The tan can last anywhere from a week to ten days depending on how you take care of your tan.

What do I need to do to prepare for my tan?

You will need to exfoliate and shave before your tan so that you can remove any dead skin that is on the surface of the skin. The tan needs to be applied to clean dry skin, no makeup or lotion/oil of any kind.

What do I need to wear during my tan?

You can wear what ever you feel comfortable in. The solution is water based and washes out of fabrics easily.

How long does the tan take to apply?

Once I am set up for the tan it takes about three to five minutes to apply. So, allow around 20 minutes for the full set up to shut down.

How soon can I shower after my tan?

You will need to wait six to eight hours to swim, shower or even sweat.

What do I need to do to add to the longevity of my tan?

Moisturizing daily is the best way to keep your tan going strong for longer. No excessive exfoliating, and try to avoid steam showers, hot tubs and lots of chlorine. These things tend to dry out the skin and fade the tan quicker than normal.

How safe is it?

Very safe... Bronze Biologic tanning solutions do not and will never contain any harmful or toxic chemicals, dyes, alcohol, additives, perfumes, or artificial colors.

What are the main ingredients in the solution?

Purified Water: Water that has been filtered down to a specific micron (particle) size and 99% of all minerals, chemicals, chlorine, sediment, and elements has been removed.

Dihydroxyacetone: (DHA) is a FDA approved simple carbohydrate compound that is derived from plant sources such as beet sugar and causes a natural tanning of the skin when applied at the right concentration.

Saccharum Officinarum: The botanical name for cane sugar. When processed correctly at specific concentrations, this ingredient creates a natural, safe bronzing effect to the skin.

Sodium Benzoate (Benzoic Acid): A naturally occurring compound with antimicrobial properties, and is found naturally in cranberries, prunes, greengage plums, cinnamon, ripe cloves and apples. Potassium Sorbate (Sorbic Acid): Derived from the oil of the unripened rowan berry (sorbapple or mountain ash berry) and is used to safely prevent bacteria and mold growth.
